Peacock Hand Warmers are a fantastic bit of kit, we came across these through our interest in outdoor gear but they are great for anyone who just wants to keep warm. The warmers run on pertrol lighter fluid and will last for hours on 25ml. The wick doesn't burn with a flame but uses a process called platinum catalysis which I can't pretend to understand, all I can say is that within five minutes of being lit the warmer is up an running and acts like a personal central heating system. We've had a relatively mild winter so far this year but on cold days I'm never without at least one of these either as a hand warmer in a coat pocket or tucked into a shirt pocket to act as a mini radiator. I can't believe I hadn't come across them sooner.
